Business Development Manager in Philippines

Did you know that more than one billion people in South and East Asia lack access to a bank account? For many, this makes it difficult to secure loans and other services, because they don't have traditional financial records like credit scores. 

Jeff is a financial super app that measures creditworthiness using alternative data. Our goal is to unlock financial services for the underbanked across Southeast Asia - and eventually globally.

Launched in Vietnam as its first market in 2020, Jeff App has quickly grown into a 30+ people team across 6 countries. To date, we have attracted $3 Million in funding from business angels and VCs, expanding into 4 markets & aiming to enter 2 more in the nearest future. More than 4M people have been serviced and more than 40M products have been compared - and we've just begun! 🚀

As we enter the next phase in our growth trajectory, we are looking for an exceptional Business Development Manager to elevate our presence in the Philippines and propel us to unprecedented heights.

You will:

  • Plan, execute, and lead communication with existing and new partners on behalf of Jeff
  • Be responsible for all things sales and partner relationships
  • Proactively search for new partnerships under the vertical strategy of the business development squad
  • Proactively come up with new market expansion and business development strategies and engage in hands-on execution of them
  • Represent, promote, and sell Jeff's products and services to the largest companies in the Philippines market
  • Revise and improve our current prospecting, account management, and pipeline nurturing strategies
  • Work closely with the Product team on GTM strategies, business, and product expansion
  • Work closely with the Growth department and CEO to achieve the best sales and development results
  • Prepare and maintain sales materials, case studies, and other assets. 


You have:

  • 2+ years of experience in fintech or similar industries(banking, finance, insurance, start-ups)
  • 2+ years of experience in sales, business development, partnership management, or any similar role
  • An experience in a similar company will  be considered an advantage
  • Excellent communication skills and understanding of long-term B2B partnerships
  • Proficiency and communication skills in Filipino and English - both written and spoken
  • Great self and time management skills
  • An “outside of the box” approach to obstacles
  • A willingness to take ownership of actions and items entrusted to you
  • Ability to develop and execute strategies that align with business objectives and deliver positive results.
