Chief Operating Officer

❗There is more than a billion people in Asia that do not have access to mainstream financial services!

At the same time, most of them have an incredible amount of valuable digital footprint in their mobile devices, online presence, social media, everyday apps & many other sources.

Enter Jeff, financial services supermarket for South-East Asia's unbanked. We are on the way to build a new generation Credit Score based on the alternative data & become the financial inclusion gateway of South-East Asia's emerging economies.

🚀 Jeff's journey started in 2020. In just 2 years, over 1.5 million people have compared over 15 Million products in Vietnam and Philippines via Jeff.

In line with our growth in terms of not only key metrics, but also product lines, markets, headcount and operations, substantial layers of operational complexity and challenges are added.

To handle these challenges and carry Jeff through the next chapter of expansion, we are looking for a Chief Operating Officer.

Your tasks will include:

✅ First things first: identifying the most pressing challenges on a regular basis & addressing them with 0 hesitation

✅ Working closely with founders and top management of the company to ensure continuously improved operational and day-to-day performance

✅ Playing a key role in our transition to a "matrix-type organisation", including but not limited to plan and KPI setting, monitoring and achievement across various different teams

✅ Taking a leading role with all things people operations (and challenges)

✅ Balancing between day-to-day leadership and alignment with strategic direction of the company

✅ Designing and implementing necessary procedures and routines + ensuring world-class hygiene with following them

✅ Identifying necessary focus shifts and switching between huge tasks and micro tasks. You must be able to resolve office cleaning matters and massive forecast adjustments for our main revenue drivers within the same day

✅ Shamelessly executing and leading by example

✅ Having bottom line ownership and responsibility over company's operational performance and indicators

A rockstar candidate for this job:

🎯 Has “can do” attitude and truly believes there is a solution for every problem (and has the ability to find it!)

🎯 Has at least 5 years of past operations or leadership experience in Startups / FinTech / Cross-functional teams

🎯 Has exceptional level of energy and is truly self-driven

🎯 Finds a solution for every problem, not other way around

🎯 Possesses past experience in at least one of the following: fintech, consumer app sector, startups, ASEAN markets

🎯 Has tremendous sense of urgency

🎯 Takes ownership of the actions and items entrusted

🎯 Has strong track record with "People matters", including but not limited to hiring, performance evaluation, dispute resolution

🎯 Preferably has experience with scaling organisations from 25 to 150+

🎯 Will proactively identify the need for travel to either of our global offices or fixing issues after hours/on weekends

🎯 Feels great in dynamic, results-oriented environment that advocates open, honest communication
